It always amaze me whenever I go to parties (gatherings and events that usually require socializing and occasional drinking and smoking) when people always ask me these two particular questions:

1. Why don’t you smoke? (Bakit  hindi ka nagyoyosi/naninigarilyo?) and
2. Why don’t you drink? (Bakit hindi ka umiinom ng alak/beer?)



Most of the time I just reply with a smile or short responses like: “basta” would be my consistent reply and then it usually raise the curiosity of some people which brings to me to a point where I tell the long story about my reasons. These post would be discussing in brief, the concrete reason to answer these questions.

1. Why don’t you smoke? (Bakit  hindi ka nagyoyosi/naninigarilyo?)

answer: Hithit, Tagay, Ulayaw...

2. Why don’t you drink? (Bakit hindi ka umiinom ng alak/beer?)
